This issue seems to be trying so hard to please every possible demographic these days, it is difficult to know if it ends up pleasing anyone. To give numerous examples of what I'm referring to, this issue features the following model demographics:
- traditional swimsuit model
- "plus size" swimsuit model
- athlete model
- transgender model
- geriatric model
- celebrity model
- pseudocelebrity model
- model who had breast surgery due to breast cancer
- model who is currently pregnant
- model who was previously pregnant and now has a scar from a C-section
It sort of seems like they are trying to find anyone to be in the magazine so that they can represent every possible type of person. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just a departure from their traditional format.
Highlights for me were the return of Hailey Clauson. This was the first time the former cover model had been in the issue since 2019. Additional highlights for me include Christen Harper (above), who was also in the 2021 issue, and rookie Duckie Thot (below).
