Christmas 2020 has come and gone. In this modern era of electronics, the toys my kids got for Christmas amazes me. They got some Barbies and Legos, both classic toy staples. But they also got some simpler toys that they enjoy. I'm talking a magic eight ball, a slinky, and a whoopee cushion. These are toys that were classic when I was a kid and probably existed when my parents were kids. Additionally, they got a couple of card games they love too. No video games, no tablets, nothing electronic except for a couple of animatronic dolls. For whatever reason, the simplicity of their toys, and the fact that they truly enjoy them, makes me happy. It goes to show you that kids are kids, and even though technology changes, they still like the simple things as well.
